Spaces shaped by people and place.
MONO Architecture is a Vancouver-based practice designing homes, housing, and mixed-use spaces through a thoughtful understanding of context, material, and everyday life.
Architecture shaped by context.
We design buildings and spaces that respond to their surroundings and the people who use them. Through careful planning, considered materials, and close collaboration, we bring clarity to complex decisions and develop architecture with lasting value.
A clear, collaborative process.
Every project begins with a conversation. We listen to your priorities, explore the possibilities, and guide the design forward with clear communication and careful coordination.

MONO is an independent architecture practice led by Alejandro Martínez, Architect AIBC. Our perspective draws on design experience in Canada and Central America, bringing an understanding of different places, climates, and ways of living.

We begin with your goals and the conditions of the site. Through design exploration, three-dimensional modelling, and consultant coordination, we help you understand the options and make informed decisions as the project develops.

We work with homeowners, developers, and organizations planning new buildings or adapting existing spaces. From a custom home to a multi-family or mixed-use development, we tailor our involvement to the project’s needs and stage.
“Their attention to detail and commitment to quality truly stood out. Every detail was thoughtfully executed. We're thrilled with the outcome, we’ve already recommended them to others.”
